We arrived home from the concert now, and just like expected it was GREAT. It was even greater than it was last night. Fucking crazy shit, I swear. Seriously, Eric Saade is probably the best dancer I’ve ever seen live. You have to be a true star if you want to put down a show like THAT while you’re singing at the same time. Damn, boy. ;)

Right now, we’re on the bed just chilling a little bit and enjoying our last night in Sweden J Tomorrow we’ll go back home, back to Belgium! I’ve to admit I miss it, who guessed I’d ever say this? Haha.

Now we’re off for a midnight walk with Happy and after we’ll probably go to bed, preparing ourselves for a long uncomfortable trip back home tomorrow night! I'll upload more pictures of the concerts in some days :)

Goodbye Helsingborg and hello Malmö!

We arrived here earlier today and the first thing I noticed is the weather is a lot colder here than it was in Helsingborg. By the strong wind you can tell we’re a lot closer to the seaside now! I think we just have to walk more less 5 minutes. We will spend the night at Sarah’s place after the concert and eat typical Swedish meatballs. I’ve heard they’re legendary here, hahah. I’ve to say I’m pleasantly surprised by the hospitality and I just really LOVE the apartment. It’s cozy and cute J And they have the cutest dog ever! It’s called Happy.

Hahah, last night we got interviewed by a Swedish newspaper, Kvällsposten, and today we bought it to see the article. I must say; we both look horrible in the picture! Luckily we had our friend to translate everything! ;p Seems like the people in Sweden never heard about the name 'Domien', as they changed it into 'Demien' xD

Good morning!

We woke up pretty early today because we're heading for Malmo in about 45 minutes. We still have to pack our stuff and get dressed but somehow it's too difficult to get out of bed, haha.

I'm still so, so, so tired but I think you can notice that very well xD Anyway, what can I say about the concert last night? Nothing more than: FUCKING AMAZING. We had VIP tickets so we had a spot right in front of the stage, in front of the rest of the audience, so we had the most amazing view we could ever imagine. It was just crazy. I hope tonight will be just as great, or if possible, even better!

Hey!

I’m finally all packed and ready to go. I’ve to admit, I’m getting pretty nervous about the long trip which is lying ahead of us.. I’m all prepared, with a lot of food and candy, all batteries charged and the complete 5^th season of Queer as Folk for when I start to get bored. (might get pretty embarrassing when I watch this one on the bus, ahah.) So, I’m ready baby!

Anyways, it was pretty weird to pack all my winter clothes now that I finally pushed them deep into my closet. The weather is SO amazing in Belgium, it’s actually HOT, and now we’re heading for Sweden where it’s snowing and barely 7 degrees or whatever xD

We’re going to have a great time, though, and I can’t wait to arrive there! I’m wondering how Kim’s doing by now. I guess she’s a nervous wreck each time she remembers about her meet and greet with Eric, hahah.

I’m not sure when I’ll be able to write something, but I’m gonna keep you updated about everything ;) well, that is if we survive the 14 hours..

Actually I should be packing my stuff for Sweden now, but I’m just too lazy to get up from my chair. I was running around all fucking day and NOW is the first time that I can finally sit back and relax a bit. Well, we’ll be driving 14 hours, I know I already mentioned it but I guess I’m trying to make myself realize the suffering I’m going to put myself through, hahah. A bit of mental support. Don’t have a lot of interesting stuff to tell today, actually. My head is a mess and I’m so tired I can barely think! Ahhh I’m going to forget everything tomorrow! L

Bought a lens for my camera, though. Tamron 18-200mm. Gonna use it and stalk ‘le sexy time’ between Eric and Kim. Yep, that’s my mission. I should be able to sell the pics while I’m still in Sweden, I could become a millionaire like this ;p

Extraordinary Fashion: Freaks come out.

This is definitely one of the most impressive photo shoots I’ve ever seen. Rick Genest, better known as Zombie boy, shines next to androgynous model Andrej Pejic. Never before have two opposites looked so great when brought together.

Zombie boy is born as Rick Genest at the 7^th of August 1985 in Canada. He is known from his modeling work for Mugler and the costarring in Lady Gaga's video 'Born this way'. He owes his name to the artistic way his body's covered by numerous tattoos which give him the look of a walking skeleton. Before his fame he performed in a freak circus in his native Montréal.

Together with the lovely Andrej Pejic, he poses for Auslander's spring 2012 campaign, a Brazillian brand founded by designer Ricardo Bräutigam. Their differences turned out to be a big asset in this shoot made by Marcelo Krasilcic. Rick Genest and cover boy Andrej Pejic looked crazy beautiful together, and though they don't have a lot in common, there is one thing in which they both seem to be very similar: they are both highly unconventional. the combination of Andrej's androgynous appeal and Rick's extreme appearance generated some intense chemistry in this amazing shoot.

I’ve been working my goddamn ass off since 3 days now! And FINALY I finished this essay about Joel-Peter Witkin and Diane Arbus -.- Think I never did anything as hard as this assignment. My weekend passed in a rush and only now I have time to breathe. Tomorrow I’ve got to hand it in and then it’s time to RELAX. Wednesday we’re leaving for Sweden and I still have so much to take care off. My mum only knows since today that I’m leaving in two days, lol. Luckily for me she was in a great mood and she didn’t start whining about it, haha. Well, we’ll sure as hell have enough time to relax on the bus, we’ve to drive for 14 HOURS. Just hope we’ll survive this x)

Prepared myself a fruit salad today, ahh. Seems I’m getting healthier after all.. hahah

SWEDENNNNN

Hey!

Just a few days left and then Kim and I FINALLY go back to Sweden! We’re waiting since sooo long (I lost count since long ago) but now it's almost there. We make a small trip through Sweden and in four days we go to 2 different cities, hahah. Malmo and Helsingborg. Don’t ask me how we will do it, but we certainly will find a way! I already know it’s going to be fucking FANTASTIC. The closer it gets, the more I look-forward to be back there. Our last trip to Sweden was just a few months ago. Kim adores Eric Saade but since he prefers to keep his ass in Sweden instead of coming to Belgium, Belgium is going to him. ;p Kim has a meet and greet with him and I just can’t wait to see her face as she stands in front of ‘m. I’m pretty sure there will be some memorable events there.

I found some pictures of Gothenburg in december! The hotel was GREAT, I swear. The breakfast was huge, the room cozy and the pool great. (Marco Polo, hahaha). There was also a gym but we only went there twice. Once because we were actually searching for the swimming pool, and second when we forgot our towels in our room so we broke into the gym and stole some towels there xD

Models and tattoos.

I was on the way home by train with my friend Shauni, when the guy right in front of us suddenly started talking to us. He asked Shauni if the tattoo behind her ear was real and if it hurt when she got it, and eventually he said he also would like to have a tattoo but that he wasn’t allowed to take one right now. When Shauni asked him why not, he told us that he is a model and therefore he can’t get any piercings or tattoos because he should be as pure as possible. I really thought this was a bit strange… I mean, you’d think that in today’s society tattoos and piercings became completely acceptable, right? Or am I saying some weird shit now? Hahah. And so many models have tattoos nowadays. Look at Freja Beha and Alice Dellal (previous articles). They both have a few very visible, and may I add great, pieces on their body. Naja…

Actually I regret that I didn’t ask for his number, haha, I would like to shoot him one time. He’s an Asian type with dark hair and dark eyes, why not?

I'm bored to DEATH.

Whenever I have many things to do, I wish I didn’t have to do anything at all. And now that I have nothing to do I wish there was SOMETHING to keep myself busy with! Tonight I’m gonna watch a movie with my sister but she suddenly disappeared, lol, so I’m all alone, going through mails and looking through some old shoots I did. Las Vegas and Golden Fingers.

Hey lovies!

Last night, I had the weirdest dream ever. I dreamed that I walked into my bedroom and the whole floor was filled with bottles of nail polish, haha, even the cupboards were completely covered. I’ve spent the entire night painting my nails, over and over again. xD But that dream made ​​me remember something!

A while ago, I saw this nail polish on the internet. It’s from Chanel and I want it so badly. I’ve never seen it in real life before but I think it must look absolutely fantastic!

It’s from the Las Vegas collection by Chanel and is inspired by the bright lights and glittering desert sands of Nevada. The collection also consists of the ‘Lucky Stripes eye and cheek powder’, the ‘Le Crayn Lèvres lip pencil in Vegas Gold’ and the ‘Rouge Coco Shine in Brilliant’. It’s limited edition so I’m not sure if it’s still available now, but I guess you can still order it on the official website of Chanel ;)

My New Friend Boy by Chanel.

Chanel has released a new mini silent movie ‘My New Friend Boy’, featuring Alice Dellal and shot by Karl Lagerfeld, to promote the new Chanel Boy handbag collection.

For those who don’t know who Alice Dellal is: she’s a model who’s pretty known for her rugged appearance, ripped jeans and undercut. In addition to her modeling work, she is also drummer in a Gospel/Lyrical/Punk band, called Thrush Metal. The band consists of four girls, four best friends, and next to starting their own band, they also started their own record label ‘Sweet Dick Music’.

I personally love Karl Lagerfeld's short films and photoshoots, and I'm also crazy about Alice Dellal's facial expression.

at this late hour, I decided it's time for some fashion lecture! We all know that in the fashion world, one must be original and shocking. Not only designers but also the models are becoming more challenging.

The sensation of today's fashionworld has the body of Kate Moss and Cindy Crawford's jaws. But look a bit closer: this is not a woman. A slender figure. Long, platinum blonde hair. A face with high cheekbones. Full of femininity. That’s what makes this androgynous model the most controversial model of the moment.


Andrej Pejic (19) owes his success to its perfect timing: he is the right man at the right time. The robust, virile and macho-looking men are finished. Fashion in the year 2011 calls for softness. Pejic has that profile, he is cuddly. Simultaneously, he is mysterious, elusive, which makes him futuristic. Freja Beha!

Good evening!

Before going to sleep I have a confession to make...

I’m guilty for falling in love with a model. It was completely out of my control and well, it just happened... Okay, haha, no I didn’t fall in love ofcourse but I’ve to admit that she’s absolutely stunning and eye-catching. I’m talking about Freja Beha. I saw her for the first time when I was checking out a site with androgynous models a while ago, like Andrej Pejic, and afterwards I recognized her on billboards for H&M in my city. She is one of those models that really stay with you once you’ve seen their faces, even though you don’t know their name. It’s something about their appearance what makes them different from others and very unique. A few days ago I saw her picture on a blog and this time I searched some information. After watching several shoots, I must say I am impressed.

She made her debut as a model in 2005 at the fall Paris and Milan shows of Louis Vuitton, Miu Miu and Prada. She did advertising campaigns for brands like MaxMara, Valentino, Chanel, H&M, Calvin Klein and a lot more, and also Karl Lagerfeld really loves to work with her.

 

"The queen of cool. Probably one of the most-requested models of all my clients. She is the perfect old-school clothes-hanger with a little eighties androgyny thrown in."

Jessica Yatrofsky is an American photographer who started with a photo blog 'I heart boy' dedicated to picturing young naked men in a sweetly provocative way. Her work is soft and sensual, and masculine but not in the traditional sense of the word. She puts the naked masculine body in the spotlights to show that the balance in our society leans too heavily to the femlale nudity, and according to her, our generation MUST fight against this inequality.

She said: "My work has the underlying desire to make male nudity more visible in our cultural landscape. Plus: dicks are more easy on the eyes, right?!"

 

I can't admit that I agree and I'd love to take a look at the exhibition which opened it's doors this evening in 'A&Gallery' in Ghent ;)
