It’s almost a shame that I never heard of Paolo Roversi while I love photography so much! I was checking out a site with photographer’s portfolios and that’s when I saw the amazing work of Roversi. I went checking out more and more about him, and the more I read and saw, the more interesting he became for me.
It seems his work is most often associated with dreamy romanticism and the fatastica, but he also succeeds to bring magic to any scenario. He’s extremely talented and so it’s totally worth it to write about him on this blog. (so you guys might wanna take some time to check out his photoshoots.) He’s a fashion photographer who did a lot of shoots for Vogue and worked with big names like Naomi Campbell and Kristen McMenamy. He distinguishes himself by putting down a creation and style of his own.
All hail Roversi.
And do you remember Kristen McMenamy? I already wrote about her before. She is one of the most famous models who also acted in Karl Lagerfeld’s ‘Tale of a fairy’ with Freja Beha. Also Roversi seemed to love to work with her, so that’s why I decided to show you ‘Kristen McMenamy by Paolo Roversi in The Grand Couture’-Vogue Italia 2010, where she plays a couture goddess.
Lensed by Paolo Roversi in early twentieth century style photos, Kristen is wearing clothes from couture’s best ateliers including Valentino, Armani Privé and Chanel in ‘The Grand Couture’. Kristen is the perfect balance between playful minx and an elegant lady in the hauntingly beautiful spread.
