Miami Ink

I’m sure some of you know this TV show LA Ink with Kat Von D, you know, the tattoo artist? The show which made her famous was actually another show, called Miami Ink. She was part of this before she got fired there and started her own business in LA because she and shop manager Ami couldn’t get along at all. Well, I’ll come down to business now.
One of the other tattoo artists from Miami Ink’s TV show, is Chris Garver. I absolutely adore this guy and his work. I think he has a huge talent and is a real artist. Next tattooing, he’s also a painter and is very active in the Japanese style, like koi fish and tigers and so on.

Last year in May, I met him at the tattoo convention in Dortmund and I thought I’d pass out. Darren Brass and Yoji Harada were there as well,  2 other tattoo artist from this show. I can assure you that these men are absolutely amazing and funny, and just because I enjoyed last year SO much, I’ll go back this year!:) I’m getting a real butterflies-in-my-stomach feeling when I think about it, hahah. I really fucking ADORE Garver, okay?!
It was pretty funny actually. I was waiting to get a chance to talk to him for a pretty long time, but he was tattooing someone and it seemed like he would be busy for a pretty long time… So I took a look around the place, chatting with my friends, and at a certain moment I decided to get a new tattoo. OFCOURSEE, right in the moment when I was getting my tattoo, Garver was done with his, so he walked through the fucking crowd and I just COULDN’T go anywhere.

I was freaking out, you know? Hahah. Suddenly my mum and two of my friends disappeared and I was left all alone at the tattoo station. I was all nervous and anxious for all what was happening in this very moment, and suddenly, I looked over my shoulder and Garver was standing right there, waving at me, talking to me. So it seemed my mum and friends ran after him and told him to come to me, mdkjhldkfjvl.  I’ll never forget this moment, I swear. He told me I should go to his stand after I finished my tattoo, so that’s what I did.
He talked to me, asked me questions and was smiling sooooo sweetly all the time. In the end we took a picture together and I could feel my heart going CRAZY in my chest! God, without my mum and without my friends, I could have never had this amazing moment with him! Forever thankful, aisssss.

I hope this year will be as great as it was last yearrrrr! It’s still a while, though. I have to wait till June L.
